What to Expect at City Chiropractic
1. Your First Visit
Your first visit begins with a detailed consultation with the chiropractor. This is an opportunity to discuss your current concerns, health history, lifestyle, and what you hope to achieve with chiropractic care.

You will also be asked to complete a short questionnaire when you arrive. To allow enough time for this, we kindly ask that you arrive around 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.

Following the consultation, the chiropractor will carry out a comprehensive physical examination. This may include a spinal assessment, postural analysis, movement testing, orthopaedic tests, and neurological checks. These assessments help us gain a clear understanding of what may be causing your symptoms and how best to support your recovery.
2. Report of Findings
At your next appointment, known as the Report of Findings, the chiropractor will clearly explain the results of your examination and provide a straightforward explanation of what is happening and how chiropractic care may help.

You will receive a personalised care plan tailored to your needs and goals. For many patients, this appointment will also include your first chiropractic adjustment, along with any recommended exercises or lifestyle advice to support your progress.

3. Follow Up Visits
Follow up appointments are designed to build on your progress, help relieve pain, improve movement, and support long-term spinal health.

Each visit is focused on helping your body function at its best while reducing the risk of previous issues returning. Whether you are seeking short-term relief or ongoing preventative care, your treatment plan will always be tailored to your individual needs.
Returning Patients
Patients who have not visited the clinic for 12 months or more may require a slightly longer appointment. This allows the chiropractor to review your health history, reassess your condition, and ensure that the care provided is still the most appropriate for you.

Our New Patient Appointment is designed for those ready to take the first step towards better health. This process is split across two 30-minute visits - the Initial Consultation and the Report of Findings.
Both appointments are included within the combined new patient fee.

Initial Consultation (30 minutes)
During your first visit, the chiropractor will take a detailed health history and discuss the concerns that have brought you to the clinic. This is followed by a comprehensive assessment which may include:

-
A full postural and spinal examination
-
Movement and mobility testing
-
Relevant orthopaedic and neurological assessments

These tests help us build a clear understanding of your condition and the most appropriate approach to your care.

Report of Findings (30 minutes)
At your second visit, the chiropractor will clearly explain the results of your examination and provide a straightforward explanation of their findings. You will also receive a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals.

Most patients will receive their first chiropractic adjustment during one of these first two visits (often at the Report of Findings appointment).
Follow Up Chiropractic Treatment

We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time to another patient in need.
